Based in Plattsburgh, NY, you will be responsible to support management in site continuous improvement plans, definition, and execution. You will coordinate improvement workshops such as Kaizens, 3P, PPS and Value Stream Mapping to support and coordinate Bombardier Operations System (BOS) and Q6 systems. Also, you will need to be proactive in identifying and applying industry best practices to improve operational performance. You must demonstrate leadership in implementing innovative and concrete changes to improve project execution.
In your role you will:
: Participate in the Site's operational plan definition along with management by contributing to annual target and strategy setting of the Site's key performance indicators and conducting root cause analysis;
: Support improvement projects and define action plans in order to execute to meet targets;
: Manage and coordinate high complexity initiatives in order to improve the Site's operational performance and project execution;
: Plan and coordinate BOS and Q6 activities to ensure sustainment of progress as well as provide performance and reporting to Site Management;
: Lead and facilitate continuous improvement workshops that aim to improve cells and the Site's performance, by implementing and deploying lean manufacturing principles, quality improvement tools and industry best practices;
: Influence management on improvement workshops, required scopes, and expected deliverables;
: Train improvement agents and site personnel on continuous improvement tools and their application on the shop floor and offices;
: Act as a coach with agents in order to ensure knowledge sharing and transfer.
Qualifications
As our ideal candidate, you possess:
: A Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Operations and Logistics Engineering or a Bachelor's degree in Operations Management;
: A minimum of 5 years of experience in operations or production environment;
: Proven experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement, 6 Sigma Black Belt preferred;
: Good project management, coaching, and change management skills;
: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
