Phlebotomist - Part Time - 15 hours - (Plattsburgh) in Plattsburgh, New York For Sale

Job Purpose: To serve patients by preparing specimens for laboratories testing and performing screening standards. Position Responsibilities: Ensures that specimen requirements are met at the time of collection and maintains specimen integrity. Fully understand all of the physician's orders. Check all test requisitions or computer label against script to ensure 100% correct. Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations. Attend annual department trainings. Answer telephone calls, read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries. BioReference Laboratories is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. 8:00am-1:00pm. Rotating Saturdays. Phlebotomy certification preferred. Previous experience with venipunctures. Great communication skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently. Excellent customer service skills covering phones and with patient interaction. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. 2 years phlebotomy experience
