(BHSN) seeks a seasoned and insightful leader to guide the continuum of services for this dynamic, growing $10M+ community behavioral healthcare treatment system. Based in Plattsburgh, New York, BHSN represents a 141-year community commitment of caring and support for youth, families and adults affected by serious mental illness, substance use, and other significant challenges. The xxxx merger between Northern New York Center and the Mental Health Association of Clinton County resulted in the formation of BHSN to create a continuum of seamless services across Clinton, Essex and Franklin counties. BHSN has emerged as the leader in behavioral healthcare in the northernmost area of New York State bordering Canada and Vermont. Located along the shores of Lake Champlain, BHSN has over 20 sites offering 24 innovative, state-of-the art, community-based programs of prevention, intervention, integrated care, treatment and support for community living. Reporting to the CEO, the Chief of Services will be a member of the Executive Team and provides leadership to achieve clinical and financial results across the agency. You will provide guidance and counsel to your staff and the organization regarding clinical practice and both professional and program development. You will use your knowledge of trends in the healthcare environment to lead the implementation of contemporary management concepts and evidence-based and promising clinical practices and supports. You will establish and maintain an innovative & coordinated service delivery system that assures that those seeking help receive timely access, assessment, appropriate treatment and referrals according to their individual needs. You will work with consumers, family members and allied community professionals and organizations to promote resiliency and recovery- oriented systems of care, build community capacity and reduce stigma associated with behavioral healthcare. Ideal Candidate Our Ideal Candidate' will be an experienced manager of community-based behavioral health treatment services who develops clinical expertise in your staff and programs; is passionate about serving people and who has the business acumen to balance competing priorities while creating resiliency and opportunities for recovery. As an accountable, self- directed leader you will have a track record as a professional who sets and delivers promised outcomes and backs-up the organizations big picture goals and objectives with operational details. You will be a champion of consumer, family and staff collaboration in planning, delivering and evaluating treatment and support services. You must have a successful track record leading strategic initiatives and building innovative systems of care in collaboration with professional and community partners. A graduate degree in a clinical behavioral healthcare field, 7 years post-graduate experience and at least seven years progressive supervisory and leadership experience in a behavioral health or rehabilitation setting. Eligibility for licensure/certification as a qualified professional in New York is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge and familiarity with the regulatory environment in New York State is a plus.
