Based in Plattsburgh, New York, you will support tooling/project demands for current and upcoming contracts. In your role you will: - Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, procedures, work instructions, sketches, models and process drawings to determine tooling requirements and the sequence of operations to manufacture complex components using numerically controlled machine tools; - Manually program, set-up and operate machine tools to manufacture components to close tolerances and accurately verify conformance of parts to blueprints and specifications; - Make calculations, measurements and choose the correct tools and materials; - Set up and run a variety of machines, hand tools and computerized numeric control (CNC) tools; tasks include grinding, drilling, and cutting to very specific instructions; - Check the exact measurements of the machined parts or tools using precise measuring tools; - Keep specialized measuring tools in good condition, adjust them for each job and repair them when needed. Qualifications As our ideal candidate: - Your Associate's degree in a related field is highly preferred however your advanced experience and qualified training will be considered; - You cumulate between one (1) to three (3) years of experience in a similar role with increasing responsibility; - Your welding experience MIG will be considered as a strong asset; - You have experience with technical drawings, dialogues and blue prints; - Your English communication skills are excellent both written and spoken; We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those under consideration will be contacted.
