Job Description: The Garvey Automotive Group is looking for a full time employee to hire as our next B or C level mechanic at Garvey Hyundai North in Plattsburgh. The candidate we are seeking qualified, trained, and equipped. Manufacturer certification from Hyundai or Kia is a major plus, as is any level ASE certification. Job description At Garvey Hyundai our mechanics are responsible for the repair of all new and preowned vehicles sold by the Garvey Automotive Group as well as off make vehicles brought in by our customers for repair. They maintain factory certification and their own supply of key tools. We help provide training and ASE certifications for those mechanics that with to improve their skills. As part of every repair our technicians perform a walk around of all vehicles brought through our shop to make sure our customer's needs are attended to. At Garvey we strive for a 100% fixed-right-the-first-time ratio and high levels of technician proficiency. Our mechanics also need to be customer service oriented and able to communicate with our clients to answer any questions they have about their vehicles. A well qualified candidate will: Have at least three years experience with the mechanical maintenance of motor vehicles Be well spoken Have a customer service orientation Be willing to work Saturday Have proficiency operating a Windows based PC Posses a New York State Inspections License Own a complete tool set &#xxxx;An extremely well qualified candidate will: Posses a Hyundai or Kia factory certification Hold ASE certifications Why work at Garvey Automotive Group?
