As a member of the Quality Team, the Quality Inspector will be located in Plattsburgh and be responsible for performing product inspections to ensure compliance with IEC Holden s quality standards. The Quality Inspector ensures that audits are performed and the reporting of nonconformances are effected.
Responsibilities include:
* Perform mechanical and dimensional inspection of machined products manufactured by suppliers
* Perform first off/final inspection of incoming or outgoing goods and documents
* Perform in-progress audits as per schedule
* Review and analyze supplier PPAP submissions
* Write dimensional inspection reports and PPAP warrants
* Maintain supplier and inspection PPAP records
* Write nonconformance reports for products that do not meet the requirements and/or specifications
* Perform periodic audits of the production lines
* Investigate product nonconformance identified on the assembly line
* Perform FAI/PPAP and Source Inspections at supplier facilities
* Lead and conduct SPAP and FAI approvals of products with customers
* Issue and follow-up of Supplier Corrective Action Requests sent to suppliers
* Planning of the calibration events, working closely with production floor and coordinating with service providers to ensure all instruments are calibrated
Requirements:
* Must be capable of interpreting geometric tolerances specified on engineering drawings and specifications
* Experience with a CMM machine or using a FARO ARM is an asset
* Must be able to use Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.), ERP experience is an asset
