Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Quality Engineer will be responsible for compliance of manufacturing processes with customer requirements, agency compliance, company-defined process requirements as well as alignment with IEC Holden’s Quality Management System.
Responsibilities include:-
Supplier part qualification/ PPAP
Internal process audits per established schedule
Control of non-conforming products from suppliers
Support production lines with daily production Non-Conforming Reports
Own calibration processes
Incoming & work in progress inspections, monitoring & support
Quality metric reporting, corrective actions and trend analysis
Support offsite customer quality initiatives, as needed
Support QC Inspectors, when required
Do you have what it takes?
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality in a manufacturing environment
Demonstrated experience reading drawings & material specifications
Experience with basic metrology tools (i.e. calipers, micrometers, rulers)
Strong English communication skills. Spanish an asset.
Excellent computer skills
Ability to adapt to changing priorities, meet tight deadlines & handle difficult situations
Ability to travel as required
Experience with CMM a plus
